Growing millwork manufacturer specializing in high-end commercial projects is looking for a Delivery Driver/Millwork Assembly to package, deliver and assist with custom millwork needed to meet the production requirements related to a full schedule of projects. Job Duties:
Work closely with the production team and installation coordinator to ensure safe, damage free and on time delivery of millwork
Load and unload delivery vehicles. Receive materials from suppliers.
Review work orders, confirm receipt of goods and maintain delivery records to ensure accuracy and signoff
Assisting in the assembling and packaging of millwork of various shapes and sizes
Organize and maintain storage of all purchased materials and offcuts.
Use proven methods to ensure clean, safe, space efficient storage with accurate tracking
Ensure professional representation of the company at all times and maintain an effective working relationship with staff, customers, suppliers, the public and other stakeholders
Job Requirements:
A clean class 5 driver’s licence and experience driving large cube van sized trucks
Minimum 2 years’ experience with materials handling, receiving and delivering to sites.
Forklift operator certification and experience in a factory/shop environment is required
General shop floor experience in a millwork or cabinet shop is preferred
Experience with packaging, assembling and delivering cabinets is strongly preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects using safe work methods and assistance as required
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with good time management
An ability to work independently with attention to detail
Reliable with good work ethics and a positive attitude
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Willingness to learn other aspects of the millwork business
This is a stable, full-time job offering a competitive hourly pay rate and a good benefits program. The hours of work are day shift only. The production plant is well organized, spacious and operates efficiently year-round to meet local market demand.
