We are a construction services provider operating in the lower mainland of BC for 20 years!
Summary:
• The primary responsibility for this role is to complete interior and occasionally exterior deficiency tasks as part of a team on the construction site. Deficiencies can range from a variety of tasks including the proper application of silicone & caulking, patching drywall, painting, hard surface repairs (repairing chips in stone & wood surfaces), finishing carpentry, and many others.
• We are looking for a couple deficiency all-stars to join our team for a project in Abbotsford and to assist on other future projects across the lower mainland. You must be able to get to Abbotsford everyday from 7am and work until 3:30pm. There is long term potential on this site as it is a multi-phase townhome project.
• Deficiency detailers are generally the last person in a unit before it is turned over to the home owner. They must possess an exceptional attention to detail and understand how much a quality finish matters, but also possess great communication skills to ensure they are meeting the expectations of their supervisor on site.
Health & Entry Requirements:
At least 2 years experience working on construction sites. Commercial or residential, high rise / low rise or town homes & custom homes
● Capable of lifting 30 lbs. or more repeatedly
● Possess all necessary PPE (hard hat, high visibility vest, steel toe work
boots)
● English skills sufficient to read and understand safety meetings, verbal
instructions, warning labels/signs etc.
● Able to perform manual labour for several hours at a time
● Possess a variety of hand and power tools
● Possess a valid Canadian Social Insurance number
Duties & Mandatory skills:
● Know the difference between different types of drywall mud, and when to use which type.
● Know the difference between caulking & silicone and how to properly apply both
● Know how to properly sand drywall patches on walls and trim/baseboard.
● Must be proficient with finish painting skills. Rolling walls, cutting in, rolling / painting trim, spotting marks & issues that need to be attended to. You will be one of the final points of contact for completing units before home owners take possession, so it is imperative you have strong finish painting skills and understand the proper methods for touching up marks and small patches on previously completed areas.
● Ability to adjust and repair bi-fold doors, cabinet doors, hollow-core and solid-core entry / exit doors.
● Have a strong attention to detail
● Possess your own tools including painting trays / roller cages and brushes, knives, putty knives, a set of drills, nail bars, a hammer, etc. Site / Client will provide all useable materials.
● Take instruction directly from the site supervisor.

• $29-$33 per hour, depending on skills and experience
