The manual flare tool, the RIDGID 23332 Flaring Tool is a precision designed tool that produces accurate 45-degree angle flares on the ends of various tubes in soft copper, brass, aluminum and mild steel tubing.
A hardened, smooth flaring cone provides fast, 45° flares in either single lap, or double lap for additional strength. This screw allows for easy clamping and removal of the tubing. This pipe flaring tool produces seven 45-degree SAE flares in 3/16-inch, 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch, 3/8-inch, 7/16-inch, 1/2-inch, and 5/8-inch sizes. Have personally used for 30 years; Was very well kept, still using it as of a week ago. Very good condition. When they say that they honor a lifetime warranty, they offer it because this item has been used for several decades and is still working as if it were purchased a couple years ago.
This item was the very first of its kind , while the patent was still pending.
It is much like the newer No. 20 Screw Feed Tubing & Conduit Cutter that rolls out on the assembly lines today.
The Vintage Reamer does not detach. This Reamer also is much longer and more pointed than the newer version. It is used to clean and insure a better connection on Pipe or Tube Sizing from: 5/8" - 2-1/8"
Rigid’s Screw Feed Tubing Cutters can make clean square cuts on copper, brass, aluminum and thin-wall steel.
You can feel the weight in your hand , but it is not majorly heavy only Weighing in at approximately 2 lbs.
