My partner, cat and I are looking for a short term roommate for the 2nd bedroom in our apartment for October 1st! ✨ ️ Located in Abbotsford ✨ ️ very close to Hwy 1 and the Cabela’s.
We are looking for a roommate from October 1st 2025 until the end of March. The unit is being sold by April 2026. This is only a short term rental.
Your rent would be $900/month and includes utilities, internet, and one parking spot underground! Groceries are bought separately, and household items (cleaners, garbage bags, toilet paper etc) are shared expenses.
𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗘:
* Second floor apartment. The apartment has an elevator. There is a ramp into the building at the main doors, as well as stair & no stair exits into the parking garage / dumpster area
* Your room can comfortably fit a queen size bed, desk & dresser. You have a closet, and a window with a windowsill deep enough to display trinkets on! Also has baseboard heating and a ceiling fan. The bedroom is NOT furnished.
* By my best measurements, the bedroom is 15 ft x 9ft, NOT including the closet or the "entry" bit of the room. Closet is roughly 5ft x 2ft
* Shared living area. The living room is furnished, but we're happy to try to work in some furniture pieces that you love!
* Shared kitchen. Galley kitchen with microwave, fullsize dishwasher. Also access to our small appliances (air fryer, instapot, rice cooker etc) if you'd like!
* Main bathroom with tub/shower (it’s unfortunately a bit shallow). Most of the storage in the main bathroom is yours, as we have a half bath off of our bedroom.
* We have a balcony that is pretty long. We don't use it much as of the moment, so there is plenty of space if you have plants or like to sit outside.
* The apartment is no smoking, but there is a public park right next door that my partner and I frequent to smoke.
* Unfortunately we're not supposed to have any more pets, but we can discuss accommodating something like a reptile.
* One parking spot in secure underground parking.
* Coin laundry on the same floor. It averages about $3 per load. There is also a laundromat within walking distance.
* We're near grocery, restaurants, transit & parks. Also very close to the highway and near UFV. About 15 minute walk from McCallum P&R buses into Chilliwack or west to Carvoth exchange & Lougheed station.
𝗪𝗘'𝗥𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥:
We would love to find a housemate that we can be friends with, share the occasional meal with, have game nights or whatever else suits! We enjoy socializing, but also value personal space and time to unwind. We value a safe and welcoming environment, our goal is for our home to be a sanctuary to everyone we know - future roommate included.
Ideally we'd love someone independent, communicative, and kind. Open and mature communication is very important to us, as well as flexibility and understanding when it comes to tackling potential issues within the home.
You would have to be comfortable around cats, and with seeing bongs & such around the apartment at times. Preference to someone who isn't a heavy drinker for recovery reasons. Very 420 friendly. Ideal for other LGBTQ folks.
