Job Description
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to support our kitchen operations. This role is essential to keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently during prep and service hours.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables)
• Cut and portion meats according to kitchen standards
• Prepare basic ingredients and sauces as directed
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and workstations
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
• Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed
• Assist cooks during busy service periods
• Properly store food and follow food safety guidelines
• Take out garbage and recycling, maintain sanitation standards
• Help with receiving and organizing deliveries
Requirements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Reliable and punctual
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Previous kitchen experience is an asset but not required (training provided)
Schedule
Approximately 35 hours per week
Must be available to work Saturdays
Flexibility for additional shifts is an asset
