1929 Gibson TB-2 Tenor Banjo. Serial #9520-13.
As usual, a little wear and tear but in absolute pristine condition.
Walnut neck with bound fingerboard – featuring the Century of Progress type faux-pearl overlay on the fingerboard
and headstock.
Frets are high but in excellent, Factory condition.
Finish- Original nitro cellulose lacquer finish on fret board.
Hardware- All Original hardware, one piece flange, Brass tone ring.
It features a bound walnut resonator bound pearloid fingerboard and headstock overlay and Grover planetary tuners on a mahogany neck. This Banjo is entirely original. The armrest is perfect, the original calfskin head is in great condition.
Made in USA sticker. This instrument was purchased by my dad from Eaton’s Catalog in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, in 1931and he was the original owner. He passed away in 2012 at the age of 99.
In the original hard-shell case pocket, you'll find some vintage picks, and the original, bracket wrench.
