I took it to the Chilliwack L&M today (Saturday April 4) to trade it in but they set it up and found that one of the Tom pads was weak and would not trigger properly and therefore would not accept it. This can be confirmed with the manager there as the only reason given as to why they didn't want to take it.
The kit sat for a few years in my older brother's place and gathered dust until he passed away recently. He hardly used it at all and it's possible that the offending Tom is simply gunked up inside with a bad connection or something, and failing that, it could be used as a two Tom setup.
