At Ebony Architectural Woodwork, we pride ourselves on a work ethic that always puts the customer first. By using the latest equipment and best materials, our talented staff are can execute each project with the end result in mind, in the most efficient manner possible.
And to expand our capabilities we are looking to add a new member to an already great team of people. We are seeking an entry level millwork joiner/cabinetmaker. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in a kitchen or commercial cabinet shop.
Some of the job duties for this position are:
• sorting out cabinet parts by cabinet number and edgebanding colour
• running parts through the edgebander, and filing the edges
• installing hardware into pre-drilled holes on the cabinet parts
• assembling and labeling the cabinets
• sanding and basic wood finishing
We work on a 4-day work week. Every Friday is a day off. Monday through Thursday inclusive are 9-hour days (6:30am to 4:00pm), totaling a 36-hour work week 72 hours pay period. More hours are available if desired.
We work on this schedule to try to offer a better work/life balance for our employees. We hope this will help attract and retain people to create a positive and energetic company team.
Salary offered is $20-24/hr depending on experience. Someone with 1 year previous experience should expect around $20/hr, while others with 2-3 yrs experience may received $23-24/hr. This is an entry level position.
