Traffic Sign Manufacturer in Port Kells. We are looking to add an important member to our team in a Full Time Shipper/Receiver. We offer design, printing, and fabrication services for a wide range of clients/industries using some of the most advanced technology in the industry.
We are currently looking for production team candidates with the ability to work in a fun, fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Applicants hoping to join our production team will be organized, responsible, hardworking and personable.
Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm. Compensation: $20+/hour depending on experience plus Benefit Package after 3 months.
Applicants for this position must be team oriented with impeccable organization, attention to detail, and be able to multitask efficiently in a fast paced environment. Our team aims to maintain an excellent work ethic and attendance by adding a reliable, honest and thorough individual.
This position is responsible for all out going shipments, receipt of incoming freight and all shipment packaging. Experience shipping and receiving goods is essential, as is valid forklift certification (we can arrange re-certification if required). Candidates must have knowledge of online shipping tools and software and specific experience in shipping with various freight companies. Strong verbal and written English language skills will be essential as is computer literacy for filling out and printing packing slips and waybills.
Responsibilities:
* Help manage aspects of Outbound and Inbound Freight
* Help prioritize daily shipments; ground, air, local, international (customs documents)
* Palletize shipments and bundling packages appropriately for transport
* Help calculate weight & dimension data; single, multi-piece, pallets
* Help print packing lists and required labelling
* Quality control and order accuracy
* General production on the shop floor and shipping department
* Various production tasks that may include: assistance with packaging orders for shipping, graphic application to substrates, cutting hard substrates (aluminum, plywood, etc)
* Achieve project deadlines and demonstrate proactive communication with other team members regarding job status
Qualifications:
* A strong attention to detail
* Able to lift 40 lbs
* Ability to work independently and produce high quality work on a consistent basis
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, production environment
* A high energy, positive attitude that works well with others
* Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric)
* Knowledge of basic hand tools and packaging materials
Assets:
* Experience in one or more of the following areas: Shipping and Receiving, Forklift certification, First aid certification.
