Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (Fixed-Term Contract)
Compensation: $18.25 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay (paid on request or at the end of employment).

Cedar Rim Nursery is seeking hardworking and reliable individuals to join our Nursery and Field Labourer Team. This position is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on, physical work in an outdoor environment. As part of our field crew, you will play a key role in preparing and maintaining the plants that make Cedar Rim Nursery one of British Columbia’s leading garden centres.

Position Overview
The Nursery and Field Labourer is responsible for assisting with the potting, planting, and handling of plant material for redistribution in our growing fields. This is a physically active position that requires endurance, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in all weather conditions.

Requirements
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work permit until at least
December 31, 2026.
• Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods of time.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold).
• Steel-toe boots are mandatory for safety.
• Must be available to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• This position is not available part-time .
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare soil, plant bulbs, seeds and cuttings, graft and bud plants, and transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings
• Caring for field grown trees and potted nursery stock by stacking, weeding, fertilizing, moving, and pruning.
• Spray trees, shrubs, flowers and plants to prevent disease and pests.
• Dig, cut and transplant trees, shrubs, flowers and plants and prepare them for sale.
• Provide information to customers on gardening, the use of various garden tools and products and the care of trees, shrubs, flowers, plants and lawns.
• May operate tractors and other machinery and equipment to fertilize, cultivate, harvest and spray fields and plants.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow company safety procedures and operational standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Nursery and Field Supervisor.

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Seasonal position running through the growing season
• Saturdays required during peak season
