Selling my senior driven squeaky clean rust free local BC Infiniti G37S with a lot of high highway kilometers but has been thoroughly maintained
No expenses were spared in the maintenance of this car and history shows that it has been mostly cared for at Infiniti dealerships
With the work I've done, I reckon within the last year over $10,000 has gone into my car in the form of parts and labour
The recent work performed on my car includes the following ...
- new timing chain & water pump
- new front and rear brakes including pads, rotors and calipers
- new struts
- new 19" tires 245/45R19
- new rear TPMS sensors (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
- new high flow MagnaFlow mufflers
- new high flow K&N intake system
- new front wheel bearing
- new speed sensor
- new rear trailing arm
- new wheel alignment
- new Bosch plugs, double iridium
- new upper radiator hose
- new serpentine belt
- new oil pressure sending unit
- new battery
- new engine cover
- new cabin filter
- new fully synthetic oil change
And lastly, just done, a great mechanical report
The mechanical inspection report was recently performed by Midas Muffler, it impressed and surprised their mechanics so much, because they weren't expecting this car to be in such amazing condition
Facts about these cars ...
These beautiful reliable cars came equipped with a chain driven 24 valve dual overhead cam (DOHC) motor putting out 330 horsepower from the factory and could top out at 155 mph
According to the internet the 0-60 mph time for a stock factory 2008 Infiniti G37 is well under 6 seconds coming in at just 5.2 seconds, while only 14.17 seconds eclipsed sprinting through the quarter mile
This car of course is much faster due to the massive power increase generated from adding the K&N system (better air flow in) and the dual MagnaFlow mufflers (better air flow out)
More interesting information ...
1) The single factory stock muffler is somewhat restrictive and is only relegated to having an airflow rating of just 200 cfm (cubic feet per minute).
2) The new pair of MagnaFlow mufflers each have 505 cfm so an impressive combined total of 1010 cfm
My mechanic says that these 2 different modes alone would add a power increase greater than 50 horsepower because the combination of the cold air system and exhaust system, working together would create more power than the sum of their individual power increases
The only thing left might be an ECU tune to insure a more harmonious feel to the drive, though it already feels pretty good to me
I am just absolutely blown away at the huge significant power increase and the awesome better sound under acceleration
Something else worth mentioning is the incredible condition of the interior with it's black Recaro style seats with the emblazoned Infiniti name on them.
So many of these classic older models normally have such poor dried out torn leather seats. The previous owner used professional leather treatment to maintain the seats and avoided letting the leather seats deteriorate
The exterior has a gorgeous radiant white pearl metallic paint and looks unbelievable especially when it's shimmering in the sunshine
In addition the 2008 Infiniti G37S sport model is harder to find and offers quite a few extra features, some of which were not available on the standard G37 ...
- light weight carbon fiber paddle shifters
- rev matching downshift
- sport seats provide better support and comfort
- larger Akebono brake system, better performance and less required maintenance
- stiffer sport suspension, more responsive and superb handling
- larger 19"sport wheels, better looking and a smoother ride
- great sounding high end 7-speaker Bose speakers
- enhanced sport front bumper
Standard features ...
- navigation
- backup camera
- power sunroof
- blue tooth
- privacy glass
- enhanced traction control from a limited slip differential
- analogue clock, compass, temperature gauge and so much more
I've found this car to be the ultimate highway cruiser and you're guaranteed to be impressed because mechanical condition, body, interior and undercarriage have been so well preserved
