Haro is a world leader in producing winning bikes at the BMX track. the same hi end components are used on their mountain bikes. Every component on a HARO bike is a name-brand, quality component designed to provide a lifetime of trouble-free riding, whether on the race course or for recreational riding. HARO bikes are only sold at high-end bike stores, never department stores. This ensures the quality and support for the bike is always there.
The Haro is a true dual-purpose bike. It is designed and built to take on any off road terrain but is equally suited as a great recreational bike, or ride around tow bike. Whether on the pavement or on trails this bike will take any terrain a youngster might encounter. It is designed to be indestructible!
The seat is comprised of several different layers of foam and gel for a very comfortable ride. It is also covered in a weatherproof covering. It is a super comfy seat.
The pedal or crank arms are top-quality Shimano aluminum, not plastic painted to look like metal, and the pedals are lightweight cast aluminum that will not crack and wear down as the plastic pedals do.
The 24-inch wheels are aluminum, and super light yet strong. The bike also has all stainless steel spokes, that will never rust. This is important for wheel straightening, as ordinary steel spokes rust, and the spoke usually break when trying to adjust or true the wheel. Stainless steel spokes are more expensive but much stronger than regular steel spokes. The Haro bike has all-terrain 24-inch tires.
The Haro bike features top-quality Suntour shocks. Shocks also protect the bike and the rider. If a pothole or obstacle is hit, the shock absorbs the impact, preventing damage to the wheel. Shocks can protect the rider from being thrown from the bike by absorbing or dampening any impact.
The bike shifting components are all quality Shimano. The Haro uses a Shimano Tourney derailleur. The Shimano Tourney derailleur has a very large bottom gear that guides the chain onto the hub precisely resulting in instant and quiet shifts. The Shimano Tourney derailleur will keep its tune and not require constant $79 tune-ups.
The bike features 21 gears with a super low 1st gear to conquer any hill and a 21st high gear for effortlessly pedaling on the flats. The bike features Shimano Microshift twist shifters. These are the safest shifters as they allow the rider to shift without taking their fingers off of the handgrips. The bike shifts effortlessly into each gear.
The bike has linear-pull TEKTRO V-brakes that provide superior stopping in wet or dry conditions.
The $700 2026 Haro model has two important features missing.
1. It is only a 7-speed. This bike has 21 gears with a much lower 1st gear and a much higher top gear.
2. The front suspension has been deleted on the 2026 model. Front suspension not only protects components from being damaged but also if an object is hit, the bike will not rebound and throw the rider.
