Schwinn has been producing bikes for over 100 years. The Schwinn Soho is the top comfort model made by Schwinn.. It is built with many of the same components used on Hi-end Treks and Specialized bikes.
The Schwinn Comfort is a dual-purpose bike as it can be set up to ride sitting upright as a comfort bike, or a bike that can be ridden more aggressively on the road or off-road. It is the ideal commuter and recreational bike on the weekend.
One of the nicest features of the Schwinn Comfort bike is the ability to customize the bike to your height or riding style. The Handlebar Stem is on a pivot system that allows the handlebars to go very low for putting your weight over the front of the bike or very high for cruising while sitting upright. It is extremely comfortable with the handlebars raised as you can ride sitting upright. If the bars are lowered the bike can be ridden as a traditional road bike, with the rider's weight focused on the handlebars and the rider bent over the handlebars for less wind resistance.
The seat on the Schwinn is wider than a traditional mountain bike seat. It is also comprised of several different layers of foam and gel for a very comfortable ride. It is also in a weatherproof covering. The seat is supported by two large rubber balls for an incredibly cushioned ride. The bike also features a suspension seat post. This cushions the ride, and the dampening is fully adjustable. This prevents any jarring to the back
The Schwinn Comfort bike has a 16-inch lightweight aircraft aluminum frame. It makes it very easy to load and unload, and pedaling is extremely easy due to its lightweight. On the road or trail, the handling is superb due to its lightweight. Having an aluminum frame means the frame will never rust.
The 26-inch wheels are made of aluminum and are super light yet strong. The bike also has all stainless steel spokes, that will never rust. This is important for wheel adjustment, as when ordinary steel spokes rust, the spokes usually break when trying to adjust or true the wheel. Only TREKS, Specialized and Giant use Stainless steel spokes.
The Schwinn Comfort bike has 26-inch tires that allow the bike to glide along with little rolling resistance on the middle tread, yet provide excellent traction on gravel or off-road on the surrounding tread. The tires are well suited to pavement or gravel. The original tires are still like new, as the bike was seldom ridden.
The Schwinn Comfort bike features top-quality Suntour SR shocks. They are also aluminum. so will never rust as the cheaper metal shocks will. These are the same Shocks used on TREK bikes. Shocks also protect the bike and the rider. If a pothole or obstacle is hit, the shock absorbs the impact, preventing damage to the wheel. Shocks can protect the rider from being thrown from the bike by absorbing or dampening any impact.
The Schwinn Comfort bike components are all quality Shimano. The Shimano derailleur has a larger bottom sprocket that guides the chain onto the gear and provides precise and quiet shifts. It will also allow the bike to stay in tune, so it will not require constant $79 tune-ups.
The bike features 21 speeds with a super low 1st gear to conquer any hill and a high 21st gear for effortlessly pedaling on the flats. You can see the super low gear in the picture.
The bike features Shimano Micro shift twist shifters. They provide instant and precise shifts in each gear. The Shimano twist shifters are the safest shifters as they allow you to shift gears without ever taking your fingers off of the handgrips.
The Schwinn Comfort bike uses linear-pull V-brakes. They provide superior braking in wet or dry conditions.
This is a high-end quality Schwinn bike made with all high-quality Hi-end Components.
You are welcome to come and take the Schwinn dual-purpose bike for a ride and see what a difference a quality bike makes. The bike has been seldom ridden and still looks, rides, shifts, and brakes as new.
