The bike has a 14-inch light aluminum frame with a very long seat post to accommodate a taller rider. The bike is super light, resulting in a very responsive handling bike. The bike features both front and rear disc brakes. They will never fade on long hills and are not affected by water or mud. The other important feature of disc brakes is the control you have over your braking, as they can be feathered without worrying about locking your brakes up. Disc brakes also will last for many years and will not need replacing as often as traditional V-brakes.
The bike features 26-inch lightweight double-walled aluminum rims with all stainless steel spokes. Double-walled aluminum rims are much lighter than regular aluminum rims, and also much stronger. Stainless steel spokes are important.
1. Stainless steel spokes are much stronger than regular steel spokes, often preventing a wheel from going out of alignment if an object or curb is hit.
2. Stainless steel spokes will never rust. If a wheel ever needs truing, the spoke nipple will not be rusty and break when turned. A broken spoke can be expensive to fix, especially the back wheel as the gears have to all come off.
The tires are all-terrain tires suitable for pavement or off-road. They are wider than a regular tire and provide an outstanding ride.
On the pavement only the middle section of the tire contacts the road, resulting in very little rolling resistance. Off-road or on gravel the surrounding tread provides excellent traction.
